As is well known, the Hong Kong Top Talent Pass Scheme aims to attract high-income individuals and graduates from the world's top 100 universities to explore opportunities in Hong Kong. These high-end talents are not required to have secured an offer of employment in the Hong Kong SAR at the time of application. Provided they meet general immigration requirements, they may be granted a 24-month stay in Hong Kong without being subject to other conditions of stay.
Applicants may apply for the Top Talent Pass Scheme under one of the following categories:
1. Individuals who have had an annual income of HK$2.5 million or more (or its equivalent in foreign currency) in the year immediately preceding the application (Category A application).
2. Individuals who have been awarded a bachelor's degree from one of the world's top 100 universities and have accumulated at least three years of work experience within the five years immediately preceding the application (Category B application).
3. Individuals who have been awarded a bachelor's degree from one of the world's top 100 universities within the five years immediately preceding the application, but have less than three years of work experience (Category C application); this category is subject to an annual quota and is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The criteria for identifying the world's top 100 universities are based on those that have appeared on four designated world university rankings within the past 5 years, which are:
Times Higher Education World University Rankings; QS World University Rankings; U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings; Academic Ranking of World Universities by Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The list is updated annually to reflect changes over the past 5 years on a rolling basis.
The 9 top-tier universities in Mainland China include: Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, Nanjing University, Sun Yat-sen University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The 5 top-tier universities in Hong Kong include: The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The following is the comprehensive list of the world's top 100 universities (currently 176 institutions), in no particular order:

The above is the complete list of all 176 global top 100 universities recognized under Categories B and C of the Hong Kong Top Talent Pass Scheme. From another perspective, this official list further demonstrates the recognition and value of these institutions.
The Top Talent Pass Scheme issues a 2-year visa to high-income individuals and graduates from top 100 universities, facilitating their arrival in Hong Kong to explore opportunities and supplementing industries and professions lacking talent in Hong Kong. Spouses and unmarried dependent children under the age of 18 may also accompany them to Hong Kong.

For those who qualify by having graduated from the aforementioned top 100 universities, now is an excellent time to apply for the Top Talent Pass Scheme. As the scheme has just been launched, it is currently in a new policy window with a smaller backlog of applications, resulting in a relatively shorter approval cycle. Eligible applicants must seize this opportunity! Opportunities are only for those who are prepared!
