Recently, Professional Wealth Management (PWM) magazine, a publication of the Financial Times, released its fifth annual report: "CBI Index 2021: A Guide to Global Citizenship." In this year's ranking, Caribbean nations Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, St. Lucia, and Antigua and Barbuda, along with the South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu, maintained their leading positions, sweeping the top six spots.
The report uses nine key pillars to evaluate all current citizenship by investment programs globally. These pillars include freedom of movement, standard of living, minimum investment outlay, mandatory travel or residence requirements, citizenship timeline, ease of processing, due diligence, family, and certainty of product. Dominica and St. Kitts and Nevis tied for first place among all citizenship by investment programs. Dominica has been ranked as the world's best citizenship by investment program for five consecutive years, while St. Kitts and Nevis reached the top spot for the first time this year!
Caribbean citizenship by investment programs have decades of operational experience and have been able to adjust quickly in the wake of the pandemic to meet the primary needs of investors. For example, St. Lucia and St. Kitts and Nevis have both lowered their investment thresholds for a limited time while allowing applicants to include more dependents, thereby increasing the family inclusivity of their programs, which is very favorable for applicants.
In the era of globalization, having a "second identity" that allows for seamless travel has become increasingly important. Obtaining a "second identity" can satisfy various needs such as children's education, asset allocation, travel convenience, tax planning, and medical care for retirement. For instance, with a Commonwealth passport, children can enjoy free British-style education, and credits are mutually recognized by some Commonwealth countries, making it easier to transfer to other Commonwealth nations for study. If returning to China for further studies as an international student, those who meet the criteria may be admitted to top domestic universities without taking the entrance examination.
In fact, citizenship by investment programs in Caribbean and South Pacific island nations such as St. Lucia, Vanuatu, St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, and Grenada have long been favored for their simple requirements, short processing times, and fast approval speeds.
Among them, St. Lucia, known as the "Back Garden of North America," launched the highly popular St. Lucia National Action Bond (NAB) program. By investing at least $250,000 in government bonds, the principal is returned after a minimum holding period of 5 years, and the whole family obtains a St. Lucian passport. This is the first new immigration method among Caribbean nations to offer low-cost investment, bond repayment, and a Commonwealth passport. Once launched, this program was highly welcomed by investors! The good news is that the validity of the St. Lucia National Action Bond program has been extended until December 31, 2021. Interested investors should seize the opportunity to apply early and benefit sooner!

In addition, Vanuatu, known as the "Pearl of the South Pacific" and rated by the New Economics Foundation as the "happiest country in the world," is an ideal destination for investment, living, and retirement! Currently, Chinese investors can apply for a Commonwealth of Vanuatu passport for three generations of their family by subscribing to the Development Support Program (DSP) opened by the Vanuatu government to global investors, starting from $80,000, and enjoy the rights of a Vanuatu citizen. Holding a Vanuatu passport allows for visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 135 countries and regions worldwide, including the UK, Russia, Hong Kong, and EU countries, enjoying the convenience of traveling whenever you want!

Great news! Canada immigration is offering a full range of rewards. Apply for Canadian immigration and receive an IELTS gift package.
