The pandemic has disrupted the plans of many investment immigrants to travel to Ireland. Many newly approved clients are concerned about whether they need to travel to Ireland as soon as possible for their initial registration, while existing clients are worried about whether they still need to meet the requirement of visiting Ireland for one day each year. To address the concerns of Irish investment immigration applicants, please join the Worldway Group in reviewing the latest clarifications from the Irish Immigration Service regarding initial registration, renewals, and annual visit requirements.
Regarding Initial Registration
For clients who have already received their official approval letter from the immigration authorities, they may travel to Ireland for their initial registration at any time within the validity period of the approval letter. The immigration authorities have no specific time restrictions for clients to complete their initial registration.
The validity period for all Irish residence permits is 2 years from the date the investor receives the official approval letter. The Irish Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) will not issue updated approval letters, but the renewal of residence permits can still be processed according to the standard procedure.
Regarding Renewals
Applicants must submit their renewal application to the Irish Immigration Service Delivery three months before the residence permit expires and provide the following supporting documents: that the applicant's designated investment is still ongoing; or that the applicant's charitable donation has been used by a registered charity in accordance with the plan; that the applicant has not become a financial burden on the Irish state; and that the applicant has never been investigated, prosecuted, or convicted of any criminal offense in any jurisdiction.
The Worldway Group can also provide renewal services for all clients to help them complete the renewal process smoothly and avoid unnecessary trouble.
Regarding the Annual Visit Requirement
Due to the ongoing travel restrictions caused by the pandemic, the immigration authorities have currently waived the requirement for investors to visit Ireland for at least 1 day in each calendar year (January 1st to December 31st).
As you know, Ireland, known as the "Emerald Isle," has always attracted many investors to immigrate due to its beautiful and suitable environment, highly developed economy, comprehensive and advanced medical care, mature and excellent education, and generous social welfare. For investors interested in immigrating to Ireland, currently, you can apply for Irish residence status for the whole family by investing in government-approved donation projects, with a donation of only 500,000 Euros (group donations can be discounted to 400,000 Euros). In addition, you can also immigrate to Ireland by investing 1 million Euros in a local Irish enterprise for more than three years.
