Recently, it has been reported that due to the pandemic, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has canceled numerous interviews to minimize in-person contact and ensure the orderly processing of cases, directly approving green cards for applicants. In other words, USCIS has simplified its case processing procedures and significantly reduced the number of green card interviews.
According to analysis, the reduction in interviews is partly due to the backlog of cases accumulated during the pandemic. For cases with complete documentation and no issues, immigration officers may determine that interviews are unnecessary, thereby accelerating the processing of backlogged cases. Furthermore, the immigration policies under the Biden administration are more welcoming and humane.
Thanks to this, since the onset of the pandemic, all I-485 and I-829 applications received by Worldway Group have been approved without an interview process, meaning all applicants were granted approval without an interview. Recently, Worldway Group received the good news that a batch of I-829 clients were approved without interviews. This means that these EB-5 investors have successfully removed the conditions on their two-year green cards, obtained U.S. permanent residency, and successfully immigrated to the United States! Worldway Group extends its sincere congratulations to these investors on their I-829 approvals.

In fact, since taking office, President Biden has continuously promoted immigration reform to clear the path for immigrants to come to the United States. Previously, USCIS also updated its Policy Manual to further improve immigration services, such as: expediting case processing, extending the validity of EADs for immigration applicants to 2 years, and issuing Requests for Evidence (RFE) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOID). These actions demonstrate that USCIS is striving to restore and expand its service mission and improve processing efficiency.
Currently, the EB-5 Regional Center Program remains in a suspended state. Worldway Group will continue to monitor the situation and share any news as soon as it becomes available.
