As more and more Chinese citizens travel to North Macedonia, people often ask about the visa policy, application process, and entry requirements. Is a visa on arrival available? Let the experts at Worldway Immigration guide you through the details.
According to the agreement between China and North Macedonia, Chinese citizens holding diplomatic, service, or public affairs passports are exempt from visa requirements when traveling to North Macedonia.
Chinese citizens holding ordinary private passports must apply for a visa at the Embassy of North Macedonia in China before entry.

Chinese citizens holding ordinary private passports may enter North Macedonia without a visa if they hold a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa (Type C) that remains valid for at least 5 days beyond the intended duration of stay in North Macedonia, provided they meet the conditions of Article 11 of the North Macedonian Law on Foreigners (i.e., holding valid travel documents, providing documents related to the purpose of travel and insurance, not being on the North Macedonian entry ban list, and not posing a threat to public order, public health, national security, or international relations). However, each stay cannot exceed 15 days, and the total duration of stay within a 6-month period cannot exceed 3 months.
Holders of passports from the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions of China do not need a visa to enter North Macedonia for family visits, tourism, business activities, or transit, provided their stay does not exceed 90 days.
North Macedonia does not implement a visa-on-arrival policy.
