On September 8, 2020, the Ontario Immigration Office of Canada announced that the Ontario Skilled Immigration category will fully transition to an EOI scoring system, incorporating language test scores into the scoring criteria, and abolishing the previous method of seizing quotas. This plan is currently under discussion for revision and is expected to be implemented in mid-2021. This sudden news has attracted widespread attention from individuals applying for and about to apply for the Ontario Employer-Sponsored Immigration program!
As a program that does not require a mandatory IELTS score, the Ontario Employer-Sponsored Immigration program has advantages such as no scoring requirements, no asset requirements, and no need to explain the source of funds, making it highly favored by immigration investors! Due to the overwhelming popularity of this program, the quotas are extremely sought after. Since 2019, every time the Ontario Employer-Sponsored Immigration program has opened, the quotas have been filled within minutes.
The good news is that before the new policy is officially implemented, the Ontario Employer-Sponsored program will continue to operate under the current policy. For investors, eligible applicants still have the opportunity to immigrate to Canada with a low threshold without IELTS, and must seize this last opportunity.
What impact will the upcoming policy change of the Ontario Employer-Sponsored Immigration have on applicants?
What are the application conditions for this program? Is it easy to pass?
