According to CBC News, the Canadian citizenship test, which had been suspended for 8 months due to the pandemic, is finally resuming!

To prevent the spread of the pandemic, the new testing method will be conducted online, and priority will be given to those who had already scheduled their tests before the pandemic but were delayed; this group consists of approximately 5,000 people.
About the Online Test
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will send email invitations to applicants to take the online test. Once applicants receive the invitation, they must complete the test within 21 days of the start date.
What materials are needed before the online test?

Online Test Procedure
Before the test begins, applicants must enter their application number and UCI to verify their identity and use the webcam to take photos of themselves and their identification documents.
Are there any changes to the online test content?
Similar to the in-person test, the online test will consist of 20 questions, which applicants must complete within 30 minutes. After submitting the answers, the score will be displayed immediately (Note: This score is not the final result; the final result will be based on the official notification received). Applicants must answer 15 questions correctly to pass. Please be reminded that once the test starts, it cannot be paused!
What are the precautions during the test?
◆ The webcam on your electronic device (mobile phones and Apple iPads are not permitted) must remain on throughout the test, ensuring your full face is visible
◆ No other people are allowed to be present
◆ The testing environment must remain exactly the same as the scene captured in the pre-test photos
◆ Only one electronic device may be used
◆ During the test, you may not talk to others, leave the room, use other electronic devices, or peek at any test materials
