There is a saying in Vanuatu: "Some call it paradise, we call it home." This is paradise, the home of the people of Vanuatu; it is picturesque, yet waiting to be developed.
Vanuatu, located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean near Australia and New Zealand, consists of 83 islands and has been twice named the "happiest place in the world" by the British New Economics Foundation. As a popular tourist destination for global travelers, Vanuatu was once recommended by the world-renowned travel magazine Lonely Planet as one of the top ten must-visit travel destinations! So, what are the fun places to visit in Vanuatu? Below, Worldway Immigration takes you through these interesting travel experiences!
01
The world's only underwater post office
Located under the sea near Hideaway Island beach in Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, there is a unique underwater post office. Operating since May 2003, four Vanuatu Post employees work here. When it is open, a buoy with a flag floats on the water. When the clerk collects mail at the underwater post office, colorful tropical fish swim around them.
Diving tourists can mail waterproof postcards here, and the clerk stamps them. They do not use traditional ink to stamp; instead, they use a postmark with embossed patterns to create a special raised impression, indicating that the postcard has been sent.
02
Mount Yasur
Mount Yasur is located on Tanna Island in the Vanuatu archipelago and is the only active volcano in the world where you can stand on the crater rim to watch magma eruptions. The circular crater, 1,300 feet (about 396 meters) wide, has been erupting continuously for centuries, and during peak volcanic activity, it can erupt several times an hour. Because it erupts year-round, it is used by pilots and sailors as a "lighthouse" to guide the way in the Pacific.
This volcano is 1,184 feet (about 361 meters) high, and the ejected lava mostly goes straight up and down, rarely escaping at an angle, so it generally does not harm visitors, earning it the reputation as the "most accessible active volcano" in the world.

Rare ancient tribes and indigenous people
In Vanuatu, you can experience indigenous cultures that are among the few in the world untouched by modern civilization. The "Naked Tribe" are indigenous people living in Vanuatu. Because the area is hot all year round, this ethnic group only uses grass leaves to cover key parts of their bodies, leaving their upper bodies bare, hence the name.
They are naked, with only a grass-woven garment or grass skirt for modesty. They live in wooden houses built of thatch, sit on the ground, and sleep on the ground. Apart from a small amount of farming and animal husbandry, they live by hunting and picking fruit. The people in the tribe are good at singing and dancing and are carefree. In particular, the simple, innocent, and pure smiles naturally revealed by the children make you feel that they have the purest, calmest, and most natural perfect hearts in the world.
04
Blue Cave
Blue Cave: there is a cave within the sea, and inside the cave, there is another world. In the morning, accompanied by the warm sunshine, dive into the warm seawater yourself and start a colorful underwater adventure. The sunlight penetrating the water surface makes the various coral reefs inside even more colorful. At noon, as the tide gradually rises, the once clearly visible Blue Cave gradually hides in the vast ocean.
"Standing on the edge of the Matevulu Blue Hole, it feels like finding a piece of paradise." It is not hard to understand why the famous Hollywood actress and Oscar winner Cate Blanchett chose to buy a vacation villa here!
05
Diving Paradise
Vanuatu is known as a "diving paradise." The SS President Coolidge, located near the beach of Espiritu Santo Island in Vanuatu, is the world's largest shipwreck and one of the most ideal wreck diving sites in the world. The ship was once a giant on the sea, and after an accident, it fell asleep on the seabed. Like a time capsule, it has kept the memories of that era sealed in the sea for a long time.
In addition to the SS President Coolidge, the rich underwater life near the shipwreck is also a major factor attracting diving enthusiasts. The blue, almost transparent seawater is deep and charming, with colorful corals and swaying schools of fish, such as coral fish, barracuda, and lionfish.
