Aivo Orav, Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, praised the work of the entire negotiation institution and the great work done in the previous period. "Through negotiations with the countries of the Balkans, we have clearly indicated that the Balkans can count on the EU, and we believe that the status of the Western Balkan countries belongs among EU member states. This can also be reaffirmed by opening negotiations on the final chapter for Montenegro's accession!"
Montenegro's Chief Negotiator, Aleksandar Djerkovic, stated, "The significant progress in negotiations is the result of hard work within the negotiation framework and the excellent cooperation between Montenegro and the EU delegation, as well as the European Commission. I believe this will continue in the future. I hope that all relevant institutions in Montenegro will continue their activities to enter a new phase of negotiations, complete the negotiations on the accession chapters, and ultimately make Montenegro the next member state of the EU."
