On February 28, the Turkish Ministry of Health decided to make the following adjustments to the temporary entry procedures for Chinese citizens, effective immediately:
1. Except for Chinese employees of Chinese enterprises working in Turkey and Chinese citizens holding a Turkish residence permit or work permit, Chinese citizens who have spent less than 14 days since leaving the Chinese border before arriving in Turkey will not be accepted for entry.
• Chinese citizens who have spent 14 full days since leaving the Chinese border before arriving in Turkey must undergo a medical examination upon entry; individuals suspected of infection will be quarantined for 14 days.
• Individuals without symptoms of infection must have their risk analyzed by the Ministry of Health and have their name, address, and phone number registered. The Provincial Health Directorate will conduct continuous 14-day monitoring at a designated location or their residence.
2. Chinese employees of Chinese enterprises working in Turkey and Chinese citizens holding a Turkish residence permit or work permit must present proof of having undergone a 14-day quarantine in China before departure and a health certificate (recommended in English or Turkish) upon entry.
• A medical examination is required upon entry; individuals suspected of infection will be quarantined for 14 days.
• Individuals without symptoms of infection must have their risk analyzed by the Ministry of Health and have their name, address, and phone number registered. The Provincial Health Directorate will conduct continuous 14-day monitoring at a designated location or their residence.
3. Anyone with a travel record to Iran within 14 days prior to arriving in Turkey is not permitted to enter.
• The Chinese Embassy in Turkey once again reminds Chinese citizens traveling in Turkey to closely monitor epidemic information and take necessary preventive measures. If you discover suspected cases or develop symptoms of infection, you should seek medical attention promptly and truthfully inform the doctor of the infection and onset facts to avoid delaying treatment.
