Recently, a report released by Athens International Airport revealed that passenger traffic at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport increased by 5.3% in December 2019, adding a total of 1.64 million passengers. Throughout Greece in 2019, inbound international travelers grew by 8.6%, with total passenger numbers reaching 25.57 million, setting a new record compared to 24.13 million in 2018. The number of flights reached 225,628, an increase of 3.9% year-on-year, with domestic flights rising by 4.1% and international flights increasing by 3.8%.
