Good news! The direct flight route from Xi'an to Lisbon has officially opened, making travel between China and Portugal more convenient! According to reports, on August 30, 2019, Beijing time, Capital Airlines launched its intercontinental route from Beijing to Xi'an to Lisbon.
It is reported that the inaugural flight JD429 departed from Beijing Capital International Airport at 06:30 Beijing time, with a stopover in Xi'an (departing from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport at 12:10) and arrived in Lisbon at 19:05 local time.
As the capital of Portugal, Lisbon enjoys a superior geographical location, serving not only as an important point on the Eurasian continent and the Silk Road but also as a proactive supporter and participant in the Belt and Road Initiative. 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Portugal.
