How to immigrate to Europe? With the successive introduction of European immigration acts, there are no long waiting periods, clear capital thresholds, and simple background requirements for immigrants. There is no need for a business background, no need to prove the source of assets, and no language or academic requirements. Some programs even have no physical residency requirements. Let us take a look at the immigration policies of European countries.
Spain, Portugal
The procedures for Spain are similar to those of Portugal; one can immigrate by purchasing real estate worth 500,000 euros. In addition to the 500,000-euro real estate investment immigration program, the Spanish government has also promulgated a non-lucrative residence permit program; applicants need to prove that they have the financial means to meet the needs of living in Spain to obtain long-term residence rights for themselves and their families. However, they are not allowed to engage in profitable commercial activities and are required to reside in the country for more than six months each year.
The main immigration method for Portugal is the Golden Residence Permit Program. This is a visa set up by the Portuguese government to allow third-country nationals to enter Portugal to carry out investment activities. Applicants who carry out qualifying investment activities in Portugal and meet additional conditions can obtain Portuguese immigration status upon approval.
To obtain permanent residence in Portugal, one needs to purchase real estate worth more than 500,000 euros in Portugal, with an investment period of no less than 5 years; after the 5-year investment period, one can apply for permanent residence, and the property can be sold.
Greece
Speaking of Greece, investors can apply for permanent residence in the country by purchasing real estate with a total value of more than 250,000 euros, but the property is linked to the status.
Turkey
The Turkish passport immigration program is a one-step program to obtain a passport. There are no language or source of funds requirements, and no physical residency requirements. By simply investing in real estate, the whole family can quickly obtain a Turkish passport. The investment amount is low, and the investment time is short. For investors, not only can they obtain considerable investment returns, but they can also obtain Turkish citizenship, which can be described as killing two birds with one stone.
Cyprus
Cyprus has stable economic growth and has achieved good results in many fields, attracting the attention of many investors. Through the Cyprus Investment Program, by purchasing a property worth 2.5 million euros, or multiple properties worth 3 million euros (including a 500,000-euro self-occupied home), one can obtain a property with permanent ownership in Cyprus, participate in the Cyprus investment market, share the investment dividends brought by economic growth, and the whole family of three generations can quickly obtain a Cyprus EU passport in one step.
Malta
Malta's immigration policy is relatively relaxed. As long as the applicant is over 18 years old and has no criminal record in their home country, they can purchase 250,000 euros in government bonds (principal and interest returned after 5 years), and at the same time need to purchase or lease a property that meets government requirements and hold it for 5 years, to allow four generations of the family to have Maltese permanent residence status.
