The goal of Canada's Start-up Visa Program is to enable immigrant entrepreneurs to utilize their skills and potential to build innovative businesses in Canada, create jobs for Canadians, and compete on a global scale. Do you have an innovative business idea? If your idea can receive support from a designated organization, you may be eligible to apply for immigration to Canada.
To determine if you are eligible to apply for Canada's Start-up Visa Program, you must meet the following conditions:
1. Prove that your business can receive support from a designated organization.
2. Demonstrate that your business meets ownership requirements.
3. Meet language requirements.
4. Bring sufficient settlement funds.
【How to Qualify for a Start-up Visa】
Your application for Canada's Start-up Visa will be assessed on a pass/fail basis. You must meet the following four conditions:
1. Have a letter of support from a designated angel investor group, venture capital fund, or business incubator.
2. Meet the ownership requirements for a qualifying business.
3. Meet the minimum language requirement of CLB 5 (intermediate level) in English or French.
4. Have sufficient funds to settle and provide for living expenses before the business becomes profitable.
If these requirements are met, your application will be processed according to the standards of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), including health, criminal, and security checks. IRCC may request an independent peer review to ensure that the support provided by the designated organization is legitimate.
