The new fiscal year begins on July 1, marking the time when Australia implements a multitude of new measures and requirements! Therefore, Australian visa fees have also increased at this time! This time, the increase in Australian visa fees, except for tourist visas, has reached as high as 5.4% for other types of visas! It is expected that in the 2018-19 fiscal year, these visa fees will bring an additional revenue of AUD 275 million to Australia.
Although there will be no increase in second installment visa application charges (VACs), the visa fees for student visas, spouse immigration, and parent visas have all increased by approximately AUD 100 to AUD 400. This price increase also means that Australian visa fees far exceed those of the United Kingdom, the United States, and New Zealand, officially becoming one of the most expensive visa fees in the world!
