Valid Passport: A valid personal passport.
List of personal and household items being brought on this trip (two copies).
If you plan to bring items into Canada later, you must fill out a list and valuation for these items (two copies). Please also note the following in the list: value of the items, materials, model, and serial number (if applicable).
Canadian Address: A Canadian address (cannot be a business address or a P.O. Box; it must be an actual private residential address) is required to receive your Permanent Resident Card. Please ensure you remember this address and know whether it is a house or an apartment. If this address is incorrect, you will not receive your Permanent Resident Card.
Permanent Resident Card Photo: Ensure the immigration officer at customs confirms that the photo for your Permanent Resident Card is in your immigration file and meets the requirements. If it is missing or does not meet the requirements, please have the customs officer take a photo for you immediately.
Note: Please carry these documents with you; do not place them in your checked luggage!
Declaration of Funds
If you are carrying more than CAD $10,000, you must declare it on your customs declaration form upon entry and provide proof of the source and purpose of the funds. Failure to truthfully declare this to customs officials may result in violations of anti-money laundering laws, leading to fines or even imprisonment.
Health Documents
In Canada, children are required to have received relevant vaccinations to prevent the infection of serious diseases;
Upon entry, if necessary, please submit your child's vaccination records to the customs officer.
After entry, please keep your child's vaccination records in a safe place so they can be provided to the school to facilitate your child's enrollment.
