Worldway Group has learned that the global higher education research institution QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) recently released the 2020 QS World University Rankings. Like last year, this QS World University Ranking includes 1,000 top universities globally. The ranking algorithm is mainly based on six indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, student-to-faculty ratio, citations per faculty, faculty-to-student ratio, and international student ratio. So, what changes have occurred for Canadian institutions in the 2020 QS World University Rankings?
In the 2020 QS World University Top 100 rankings, Canadian universities hold 3 spots. They are the University of Toronto, McGill University, and the University of British Columbia, which remain the three strongest Canadian institutions. There are a total of 7 Canadian institutions in the TOP 200 list, with the number of institutions remaining basically the same as last year. In addition to the three mentioned above, the other four are the University of Alberta, the University of Montreal, McMaster University, and the University of Waterloo.
As everyone knows, Canada's education has always been world-renowned, and it is very attractive to both local and international students. For students and parents, rankings from authoritative organizations can be considered one of the important criteria for measuring a good school.
