Worldway Group has learned that, according to the Congressional website, the Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act (H.R. 1044), previously introduced by both Democrats and Republicans to eliminate per-country limits on employment-based immigrant visas, has now secured the support of 309 members of the House of Representatives. This significant figure will have a decisive impact on the bill's passage in the House, and it is believed that the likelihood of this proposal passing in the Democrat-controlled House is extremely high.
Meanwhile, good news has also arrived from the Senate. The Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act (S. 386), which is similar to and was introduced concurrently with H.R. 1044, has recently had an amended version submitted by Senator Mike Lee following lobbying efforts. The likelihood of this amendment passing in the Senate is extremely high.
As is well known, for a U.S. bill to be established and become law, it must be passed by both the House and the Senate and signed by the President. Although two separate versions of the bill to eliminate per-country visa limits have emerged in the House and Senate, it is clear that the elimination of per-country visa limits has gained broad support in both chambers. Therefore, regardless of which version is submitted, the proposal to eliminate per-country visa limits (H.R. 1044 or S. 386) has a very high probability of final passage.
For investors, if the proposal to eliminate per-country visa limits is ultimately passed and signed into law, it would mean that EB-5 investment immigration would implement a "first-come, first-served" principle. This would prevent "queue jumping" by investors born outside of mainland China and significantly reduce the waiting time for EB-5 investors from mainland China who are already in the visa backlog! Worldway Group will continue to monitor the latest progress of the proposal and provide updates as soon as they become available.
Of course, for investors with a rigid demand for immigrating to the United States, regardless of whether the proposal passes, one must immigrate as early as possible. "Prepare early, apply early, join the queue early, and benefit early" is an eternal truth!
Investors can choose high-quality projects that have already been approved by the USCIS, offer the potential to shorten waiting times, have completed all job creation, and provide first-priority repayment guarantees. These advantages will greatly protect the interests of investors and help them successfully immigrate to the United States. The two highly popular EB-5 projects in the EB-5 market offered by Worldway Group—the 9th Avenue Manhattan Luxury Boutique Hotel and Dallas No. 1—are rare, high-quality projects. Currently, both projects are under orderly construction as planned.
Project quotas are tight, so seize the opportunity! Investors should take advantage of the golden historical period before September 30 to immigrate to the United States at the low price of $500,000!
