The six major indicators of the 2020 QS World University Rankings:

(3) Citations per Faculty (20%): Used to measure academic research impact, calculated by dividing the total number of citations for research papers from each university over a five-year period by the number of faculty members at each university.

(4) Faculty/Student Ratio (20%): Used to measure the teaching capacity of a school, calculated by dividing the number of students by the number of faculty members; this indicator helps students better understand the scale of teaching when choosing a school.

(5) International Faculty Ratio (5%): One of QS's two internationalization indicators, which measures the proportion of non-domestic faculty at each university.

(6) International Student Ratio (5%): The second of QS's two internationalization indicators, which measures the proportion of non-domestic students at each university. This also indicates a university's ability to attract talent from around the world.
