The WorldWay Group has learned that in the recently released 2019 Good Country Index, Portugal ranks prominently at 30th place. Notably, in the "Earth and Climate" category, Portugal stands out, ranking 3rd globally.
It is reported that the Good Country Index is compiled using data primarily provided by the United Nations, the World Bank, and other international organizations. This data is combined into a common standard to rank these countries overall and in seven categories (Science and Technology, Culture, International Peace and Security, World Order, Earth and Climate, Prosperity and Equality, Health and Wellbeing).
This year, the Good Country Index analyzed a total of 153 countries, with the top 10 countries all being European nations. Portugal's overall ranking is 30th, with a 3rd place ranking in the "Earth and Climate" category, achieving impressive results, second only to Switzerland and Norway. Additionally, Portugal ranks 36th in Science and Technology, 17th in Culture, 114th in International Peace and Security, 36th in World Order, 31st in Prosperity and Equality, and 68th in Health and Wellbeing.
Below is the list of the top 10 countries in the Good Country Index:
1. Finland
2. Netherlands
3. Ireland
4. Sweden
5. Germany
6. Denmark
7. Switzerland
8. Norway

Portugal's pleasant climate, unique scenery, and high-quality social welfare are all highly appealing. Its robust economic development, along with a thriving real estate and tourism sector, continues to attract an increasing number of investors from around the world.
Through the Portugal Golden Residence Permit Program, according to the updated Golden Residence Permit Law (Law no. 63/2015) passed by the Portuguese Parliament in June 2015, applicants can obtain a Golden Residence Permit for their entire family across three generations by investing in properties over 30 years old or in designated urban rehabilitation areas in Portugal, with a total investment value exceeding 350,000 euros. If the property is located in a sparsely populated area (NUTS III level with fewer than 100 residents per square kilometer, or with a per capita GDP below 75% of the national average), the investment amount can be reduced by 20% to start from 280,000 euros.
This means that with an investment starting from just 280,000 euros, an entire family can quickly obtain a Golden Residence Permit for Portugal, enjoying the generous benefits of an EU country while participating in the Portuguese investment market, achieving both residency and investment success.
The WorldWay Group, a leader in investment immigration and one of the top 500 Asian brands, has always been at the forefront of the industry in Portugal's investment immigration sector. As one of the early immigration agencies promoting the Portugal "Golden Residence Permit" in China, the WorldWay Group has maintained a good relationship with the Portuguese government over the years, helping investors easily realize their dreams of immigrating to Portugal.
With an investment starting from just 280,000 euros, an entire family can immigrate to Portugal, gaining property and residency, achieving multiple benefits! For more details, consult us at: 400-138-2929.
