Worldway Group has learned that the City of Dreams Mediterranean project, located in Limassol, Cyprus, will commence construction in early April this year and is expected to be completed in 2021. The project is projected to attract 300,000 tourists to Cyprus annually, bringing new development vitality to Limassol, the second-largest city in Cyprus and a financial hub of the Mediterranean.
The City of Dreams Mediterranean will cover 37 hectares and include a central podium featuring the main casino floor, world-class restaurants, exhibition facilities, luxury retail, as well as a spa and fitness club with an indoor swimming pool. The project will be the largest integrated casino resort in Limassol and Europe, featuring a 16-story hotel tower with 500 guest rooms, including multi-bay suites with garden balconies, an exhibition center, and an expansive "pool landscape" area with four large outdoor swimming pools, whirlpools, and children's playgrounds. It will offer over 100 tables and 1,000 state-of-the-art slot machines.
It is reported that the City of Dreams Mediterranean will create approximately 4,000 local jobs during the construction phase and about 2,400 permanent jobs once fully operational. Two years after opening, the integrated casino resort is expected to contribute approximately 700 million Euros annually to the Cypriot economy, accounting for about 4% of the country's annual GDP.
Immigration experts state that as a famous European holiday destination, Cyprus also occupies a unique strategic location at the intersection of Asia, Africa, and Europe. It hosts a large number of wealthy tourists and investors from the EU, Russia, the Middle East, and Asia, providing a foundation for the development of the casino. At the same time, the "casino effect" will further promote the development of the Cypriot economy, generate more investment opportunities, and help establish Cyprus as an WorldWay and travel hub.
