On February 21, 2019, the latest EOI selection results for Canada's Prince Edward Island (PEI) Entrepreneur Immigration were announced. The minimum score for this selection was 117 points, with a total of 29 candidates selected.
WorldWay Group has learned that the PEI provincial government plans to conduct EOI selections around the middle of each month this year. The tentative selection dates for 2019 are as follows (subject to individual adjustments):
March 21, 2019, April 18, 2019, May 16, 2019, June 20, 2019, July 18, 2019, August 15, 2019, September 19, 2019, October 17, 2019, November 21, 2019, December 19, 2019.
Last September, PEI announced the closure of the entrepreneur stream of its Provincial Nominee Program. It will no longer accept immigration applications that grant immediate permanent residency upon establishing a business in the province. This means the era of obtaining a "Maple Leaf Card" (Permanent Resident Card) through PEI in "one step" has ended, and it will shift to a model similar to Manitoba and Saskatchewan, where applicants must first obtain a work permit and meet business requirements before becoming eligible for PR.
However, for younger applicants, obtaining a work permit in advance means their children can enter Canada earlier to enjoy Canada's advanced education, healthcare, and related support services, which may not be a bad thing. At the same time, the minimum score for this selection has decreased compared to the 120-point minimum in January. For investors, this may be an excellent time to apply for Canada's PEI Entrepreneur Immigration!
PEI Entrepreneur Immigration Application Requirements:

4. Invest at least 150,000 CAD into a new business, or purchase at least 1/3 of the shares of an existing business.
PEI Entrepreneur Immigration Program Advantages:
1. Low personal asset requirements, low investment amount, and low investment risk;
2. Fast processing time, short cycle, and rapid application procedures;
3. Relatively lenient asset verification;
4. Ability to obtain a work permit first to land in Prince Edward Island early, allowing children to enter Canada early to enjoy advanced education, healthcare, and related benefits.
