What is the process for renewing a U.S. visa? It is actually quite simple, and the steps are similar to the initial application. First, you need to determine your eligibility for renewal, and you can use the visa courier service to expedite the application process.
Step 1:
Please complete the Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Application Form DS-160. (When filling out the DS-160 form, you need to upload a recent photo taken within the last six months, size: 2-inch square (51mm x 51mm) color front photo with a white background)
Step 2:
Access the online application system, create a personal profile, and pay the MRV machine-readable visa fee.
After logging into the website, please select "Schedule an Interview". In the following process, you will encounter questions related to interview waivers. After answering these questions, the system will automatically determine whether you meet the requirements for an interview waiver.
Step 3:
After answering the questions related to interview waiver eligibility, the system will prompt you to pay the visa fee directly. If you meet all the requirements for an interview waiver, please print the "Courier Confirmation Letter", which includes the address where you choose to receive your passport/documents.
Step 4:
Gather all required documents: a completed confirmation letter for the DS-160 electronic application form, the machine-readable visa fee receipt, your current and previous passports, a recent color photo, and a statement of the purpose and itinerary for this trip. Depending on the type of visa application, the documents you need to collect and the fees you need to pay may vary.

Step 5:
Please place the "Courier Confirmation Letter" and the above documents in an envelope and submit them to China CITIC Bank. After submitting the documents, China CITIC Bank will provide you with a receipt that contains a number to track the processing status of your documents. This service will incur no fees.
Note:
Please do not place any documents you submit in a sealed envelope, as they will be refused by the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in China. If you submit materials through China CITIC Bank, please ensure that the envelope containing these materials and documents is open.
Step 6:
China CITIC Bank will forward your documents to the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou.
Step 7:
After the visa review process is completed, the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou will return your documents based on the delivery method you selected (free pickup at China CITIC or paid delivery to your home).
When your passport is ready for pickup, your passport status will be updated, and you will receive an email containing the passport tracking number. If the visa is issued, it will be affixed to your passport.
