On September 10, 2018, the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Office officially announced the appointment of Thomas Anthony as the new CEO of the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Office. Meanwhile, the Citizenship by Investment Office announced several new policies. The new policies relax the requirements for applicants and the citizenship requirements for investment in second-hand properties.
Interpretation of Grenada's new immigration policies:
1. It is clarified that second-hand properties can also be used to apply for citizenship by investment, meaning that if an investor purchases a property for citizenship and sells it after three years, the subsequent buyer can use this to apply for citizenship. This measure ensures the continued circulation of Grenadian real estate.
2. The main applicant or their spouse's unmarried siblings can apply together, significantly reducing the costs for families with multiple children applying simultaneously.
3. Accompanying parents are no longer required to be financially dependent on the main applicant, and the documentation requirements for parents accompanying have been simplified.
4. Accompanying children over the age of 18 are no longer required to be enrolled students, with conditions relaxed.
The above provisions will officially take effect around the end of September!
