The Economist Intelligence Unit recently released its 2018 Global Liveability Index, in which Canada's Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto ranked fourth, sixth, and seventh, respectively, among the top ten most liveable cities in the world.
The following are the top ten most liveable cities in the world for 2018:
Vienna
Melbourne
Osaka
Calgary
Sydney
Vancouver
Toronto
Tokyo (tied for 7th with Toronto)
Copenhagen
Adelaide
This ranking is based on scores for 140 cities worldwide. The assessment uses the Global Livability Index, which covers five major categories: culture and environment, education, infrastructure, healthcare, and stability. These are further broken down into 30 specific indicators.
The evaluation criteria can be summarized into five categories: stability (based on local crime rates, terrorism, and military unrest); the quality of local healthcare; local culture and environment (including many factors from weather to the quality of local restaurants); the quality of education; and the quality of infrastructure (including public transport, power grids, telecommunications networks, etc.).
Notably, Canada has three cities in the top ten, making it a big winner. As is well known, Canada, with its pleasant climate and beautiful environment, has always been a country with a high global happiness index and is one of the preferred immigration destinations for global investors.
Investing and immigrating to Canada offers many advantages, such as a passport ranked fourth globally; children of immigrants can enjoy free top-tier education from elementary to high school, and university tuition fees are at the local resident rate (approximately one-fifth of that for international students); Canada's liveable environment and advanced, comprehensive social welfare system allow families to enjoy an international quality of life, ensuring care for the elderly and support for the young; at the same time, starting a business or investing in Canada allows one to benefit from the preferential policies of a major economy, enter the world's leading capital market—the North American market, and achieve diversified asset allocation, which can be described as achieving multiple goals at once.

Worldway Immigration Group, a top 500 Asian brand and a leading institution in the investment immigration industry, offers high-quality Canadian investment immigration programs, including the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program which provides a low threshold and direct access to permanent residency, the Saskatchewan and Manitoba Entrepreneur Immigration programs for quick entry, as well as the Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Programs for direct permanent residency. These programs help investors realize their dreams of moving to the Great White North and establishing a second home overseas. For details, please call: 400-138-2929
