Note: These biometric data are valid for 10 years. If they exceed 10 years, visa applicants must provide them again.
Required Documents
New visa application fees (including fingerprint collection) are: CNY 425.00 per person for individuals.
CNY 850.00 for families (two or more people).
CNY 1275.00 for performing arts groups (three or more people).
*This fee only covers visa service fees and does not include other service items such as photocopying or photo fees.
This requirement applies to all countries (except for U.S. citizens). Exemptions also include: children under 14, applicants over 79, and citizens of visa-exempt countries who are eTA holders. In mainland China, only the visa application centers in Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai can provide fingerprint collection services. Upon entry into Canada, travelers may be required to verify their fingerprints to ensure that the visa is not being used by someone else.
The government has allocated CAD 312.6 million for this project. Starting July 31 of this year, applying for Canadian tourist, study, and work visas will no longer be as simple, and at the very least, your costs will increase significantly!
