Canada immigration welcomes major good news: the Canadian government has announced the relaxation of immigration medical examination requirements. There is no doubt that now is the perfect time to immigrate to Canada!
This Monday (April 16), Canadian Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Ahmed Hussen, announced changes to the medical examination requirements for immigration applicants. Moving forward, applicants with intellectual disabilities, those requiring special education services, or those with hearing or visual impairments will no longer be denied immigration on these grounds. In other words, the Canadian government has relaxed its medical examination requirements, becoming more inclusive and open to applicants with disabilities or impairments!
At the same time, the federal government has tripled the threshold for medical and social service costs that lead to immigration refusal, increasing it from $6,655 per year to approximately $20,000. This allows applicants with minor medical conditions who incur lower medical and social service costs, such as those with hearing or visual impairments, to be approved for immigration.
Minister Hussen stated: "The policy of medical inadmissibility has been in place for over 40 years, and it clearly does not align with the values and inclusive policies of Canadian society."
The new policy will better align with Canadian values and reflects the government's respect for immigration applicants with disabilities.
Immigration experts state that relaxing medical examination requirements and raising the threshold for medical and social service costs is undoubtedly a positive development for immigration policy. On one hand, it accepts more immigration applications from individuals with disabilities, and on the other, it supports the contributions these individuals make to society. This is especially significant for applicants who previously met other immigration criteria but were rejected due to medical examination requirements.
Since the Canadian government launched the "Million New Immigrants Plan," Canadian immigration policy has shown a continuous trend of relaxation. It is truly an unstoppable momentum, and the golden age for investing and immigrating to Canada has arrived. With an investment starting from as low as 150,000 CAD, you can enjoy the generous medical, educational, and other benefits of a major immigration nation!
Investing and immigrating to Canada offers many advantages, such as a passport ranked fourth globally in strength; children of immigrants can enjoy top-tier free education from elementary to high school, and university tuition fees at the local resident rate (approximately one-fifth of that for international students); Canada's livable environment and advanced, comprehensive social welfare system allow families to enjoy a high quality of international life, ensuring care for the elderly and support for the young. At the same time, starting a business or investing in Canada allows you to benefit from the preferential policies of a major economic power, enter the world's leading capital market—the North American market—and achieve diversified asset allocation, which can be described as achieving multiple goals at once.
