The Embassy of Malta in China has announced that the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Malta, Malta Enterprise, and VFS Global have signed a new agreement to increase the number of Malta visa application centers in China from two to fifteen!
Previously, Malta visa application centers were only available in Beijing and Shanghai. Now, 13 additional cities have been added, providing greater convenience for those wishing to visit Malta. These new visa centers are located in Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Changsha, Kunming, Chongqing, Chengdu, Wuhan, Jinan, and Shenyang.
Since 2014, the number of Chinese tourists applying for Malta visas has continued to grow at a rate of three times. Therefore, it is believed that this move by Malta to increase the number of visa centers in China will significantly promote the rapid development of Malta's commerce, tourism, and study-abroad sectors, allowing more people the opportunity to see this beautiful country for themselves. In the 2017 World Migration Report, Malta was ranked as the 7th most livable country in the world. This Mediterranean nation in Europe has attracted the attention of investment immigrants in many respects.
Real Estate Economy
The Times of Malta reported that by the end of 2016, Malta had the highest increase in housing prices in the European Union, with overall property prices rising by 6% over the past three months. According to statistics from the Central Bank of Malta (CBM), real estate prices in Malta soared by 13.8% in 2016. In the last quarter of 2016 alone, housing prices rose by 7.24%. In areas popular with tourists and overseas investors, such as Sliema, St. Julian's, and Swieqi, the average rental yield is expected to reach approximately 4.4%.
Infrastructure
Malta's infrastructure is very sound. It is reported that the European Union has invested 2 million euros in the construction of Malta's infrastructure. It is foreseeable that Malta's tourism and retirement industries will become even more developed in the future. Malta enjoys a pleasant climate and various land and marine sports facilities. Many hotels offer sports facilities including tennis courts, squash courts, gyms, and saunas. In addition, most hotels can provide water sports equipment, including scuba diving, water skiing, windsurfing, and sailing equipment.
Healthcare
Malta's healthcare system is very similar to that of the United Kingdom, implementing a free public healthcare system. Residents pay an annual medical insurance fee of approximately 200 euros to enjoy most medical services for free at major public hospitals. Its healthcare system is ranked fifth in the world by the World Health Organization.
Authentic British Education
The biggest highlight of Malta's education is its adherence to an authentic British education system, with English as the official language. In addition, Malta has both public and private schools. Public schools provide 16 years of free education, while tuition fees for private schools are only 30% to 50% of those for international schools in China. Teachers are graduates of prestigious European and American universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, and Harvard, offering high cost-effectiveness. Finally, as Malta is an EU member state, applying for studies in other EU countries with Maltese permanent residency can significantly increase the success rate and reduce tuition costs.
Currently, investors can achieve immigration to Europe for a family of four in Malta through a 100,000-euro financing model. Children can enjoy high-quality educational resources and a comprehensive education system. With tuition fees comparable to or even lower than those of international schools in China, one can enjoy a pure British education and multiple benefits. It is one of the most suitable countries for investors to build their dream of a second home overseas. For details, please call: 400-138-2929.
