Among current Canadian immigration programs, besides the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program which offers a direct path to a Maple Leaf Card and Canadian permanent residency, the only other programs that provide direct permanent residency are the Prince Edward Island (PEI) Provincial Nominee Program for Entrepreneurs and the New Brunswick (NB) Provincial Nominee Program for Entrepreneurs. Among these, the PEI Provincial Nominee Program for Entrepreneurs stands out as a remarkable 'dark horse' in Canadian immigration, renowned for its low requirements, fast processing times, short cycles, efficient review, lenient asset verification, and the ability to obtain a Maple Leaf Card directly, making it highly sought after by immigrants.
According to the 2018 immigration policy released by the PEI Office of Immigration, the province maintains its 'direct path to a Maple Leaf Card' policy. Building upon the previous policy, an Expression of Interest (EOI) selection process has been added. The EOI scoring criteria will evaluate candidates based on six categories: management experience, age, education level, community support, language proficiency, and adaptability, with a total score of 200 points.
Worldway Immigration Group's Canada office has learned that the PEI Provincial Nominee Program for Entrepreneurs EOI system is now open and accepting client profiles. There is currently no minimum score requirement for submission, and profiles remain valid in the EOI system for six months. Although the date for the first EOI selection is not yet clear, it is expected that the initial selection score threshold may be relatively low. As time progresses, the score may rise. We advise investors interested in immigrating to PEI, Canada, to submit their applications as soon as possible to enter the selection pool early for peace of mind.
