On March 23, 2015, Saskatchewan relaunched its immigration policy, introducing a unique Expression of Interest (EOI) selection system. Applicants for the Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Category only need to reach 75 points to be eligible. After passing the selection and relevant reviews, applicants first obtain a work permit to start a business in Saskatchewan. Upon meeting the government's business requirements, they can apply for provincial nomination and ultimately obtain Canadian permanent resident status.
