There are age requirements for children accompanying applicants for Canadian investment immigration. Generally, only unmarried individuals under the age of 19 are eligible to accompany the applicant, provided they have not exceeded this age at the time of application submission. Of course, there are other requirements as well; let us take a look together.
The requirements for the age of children under Canadian investment immigration are as follows:
When applying for Canadian investment immigration, if the application includes dependent children, such children must be unmarried and under the age of 19, or over the age of 19 with a physical or mental disability. Since August 1, 2014, Canada no longer accepts full-time students over the age of 19 as secondary applicants.
In addition to age, accompanying children must meet the following application requirements:
1. Good health; the medical examination report must meet the requirements of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
2. Provision of non-criminal records (police certificates) from both domestic and foreign jurisdictions.
3. Must be able to provide a notarized birth certificate.
4. Must submit a signed original declaration of non-independent dependent child along with the principal applicant.
