Quebec immigration in Canada has always been highly sought after as the most cost-effective immigration program, allowing applicants to obtain a permanent resident card without the need to run a business, and without language, education, or age requirements. The Quebec immigration program in Canada was relaunched in 2017, with the following new policies:
In 2017, Quebec's skilled worker immigration program will accept 5,000 applications (expected to open on a specified date with a first-come, first-served basis), with 1,900 quotas for Quebec's investment immigration (1,330 for China), and for the first time, the Quebec entrepreneur and self-employed immigration programs will not be open.
The Quebec investment immigration program for the 2017-2018 fiscal year will officially open for applications, with the same requirements as last year. The application period is from May 29, 2017, to February 23, 2018, with a total of 1,900 families worldwide, of which the quota for investment immigration from China is 1,330 (including mainland China and Hong Kong and Macau).
a) A total of 1,900 Quebec investment immigration applications will be accepted globally. Among them, the quota allocated to mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau is 1,330.
b) The quotas will be issued by the immigration bureau to government-designated fund companies, which will then distribute them.
c) The government will start accepting applications from May 29, 2017, until February 23, 2018.
d) Any applicant who has a score of intermediate or higher in any of the French language tests (listening, speaking, reading, writing) will not be subject to quota restrictions and can submit applications at any time before March 31, 2018.
e) All applications must be submitted to the Immigration Bureau in Montreal, Quebec.
The Quebec Immigration Bureau also mentioned that the Quebec self-employed immigration and Quebec entrepreneur immigration programs are currently not open.
Two Important Notes:
1. The interview review process will return to Montreal, and application fees will be increased.
2. The Quebec Immigration Bureau's office in Hong Kong officially closed on March 28, 2017, and all interviews will now be scheduled in Montreal. This actually provides many applicants who have never been to Quebec the opportunity to assess Montreal in advance during the interview, confirming whether they will settle in Quebec in the future. Additionally, direct flights from Beijing and Shanghai to Montreal are now available, making it more convenient for applicants to travel between China and Montreal, taking only 14.5 hours.
