Recently, the Ottawa office of WorldWay Group learned of several preliminary concepts from the immigration authorities regarding the 2017 Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) for Business Investment. The policy reform, originally scheduled for announcement in April or May, may be delayed. Currently, Manitoba has proposed several preliminary concepts for the reform:
1. Increase the minimum net worth requirement.
2. Increase the minimum investment amount requirement.
3. Make business exploratory visits mandatory.
4. Increase the minimum language proficiency requirement.
5. Increase the minimum job creation requirement.
6. Changes to the points-based system: Add bonus points for investment amount, export-oriented businesses, business ventures outside of Winnipeg, and proficiency in a second official language, etc.
Currently, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Business Investment is still actively soliciting opinions from all parties. It is estimated that the official announcement and implementation may not occur until the second half of 2017. We advise applicants who currently meet the requirements to seize the opportunity and apply as soon as possible. The Ottawa office of WorldWay Group will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide the latest information in a timely manner.
Since the implementation of the Expression of Interest (EOI) system on August 2, 2013, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Business Investment has led the market due to its unique advantages of being "abundant, fast, efficient, and cost-effective." It is favored by an increasing number of applicants and is currently recognized as one of the fastest and relatively easier immigration programs among all Canadian business investment immigration options, thus earning its reputation as the golden pathway to immigrating to Canada.
【Reminder】The Manitoba immigration policy will undergo significant adjustments. Details of the new policy may be announced and implemented in the second half of the year. WorldWay Group will continue to follow up and report on this.
