A U.S. federal judge in Washington state, James Robart, refused on Friday (the 10th) to issue a temporary restraining order against the latest immigration ban signed by President Trump. The judge stated that the previous ruling to suspend the old version of the immigration ban does not apply to the new version.
Judge Robart had previously issued a ruling on February 3rd, ordering a suspension of the first version of the immigration ban announced by the Trump administration on January 27th.
On the 6th, the Trump administration announced the latest immigration executive order, building upon the previous version. On the 8th, the states of Hawaii, Washington, and New York filed lawsuits in federal court against the new immigration ban.
Judge Robart stated that while Washington state had previously filed a lawsuit against the old version of the immigration ban, that version has since been rescinded by the federal government, and the previous ruling has no binding effect on the new executive order.
[Worldway Group Reminder]
Since taking office, Trump has implemented strict immigration policies, significantly narrowing the pathways to obtaining a U.S. Green Card. The current EB-5 investment immigration policy, which requires a $500,000 investment, is set to face price increases or termination after April 28th; therefore, those wishing to immigrate to the United States should accelerate their plans.
In response to Trump's new immigration policies, Worldway Group has selected high-quality U.S. investment immigration projects and is launching three approved premium EB-5 projects:
Approved Project 1: An EB-5 project funded by Goldman Sachs' "Urban Investment Group," BFC, as well as New York state and municipal governments.
Approved Project 2: An EB-5 project that has already received I-526 approval and has completed the job creation requirements for I-829 in advance.
Approved Project 3: An EB-5 project that has received I-526 exemplar approval and has already seen multiple batches of investors successfully approved.
