Recently, the U.S. Department of State's Visa Office released the April 2017 Visa Bulletin for the U.S. EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. The latest results show that the EB-5 visa cutoff date has advanced by three weeks to May 22, 2014. This is a further improvement over the two-week advancement seen in each of the previous two months, which is encouraging news for investors. Notably, this marks the third consecutive month of positive progress for EB-5 visas.

Table B: Date for Filing Application (DFF)
(Note: For those already holding legal residence in the U.S. and filing an I-485 adjustment of status application with USCIS)

【Worldway Interpretation】
1. According to Table A, if your I-526 has been approved and your priority date is earlier than May 22, 2014, you may initiate your interview at the Guangzhou Consulate or file an I-485 application in the United States in April to obtain an immigrant visa or U.S. Green Card.
2. According to Table B, the Date for Filing (DFF) remains at June 15, 2014. Whether this will be opened remains subject to confirmation by USCIS, which will take approximately one week to clarify.
Although the new Trump administration policies show a trend toward further tightening of immigration, the stimulus effect of the EB-5 immigrant investor program on the U.S. economy and its contribution to job creation cannot be underestimated. It is understood that since the implementation of the EB-5 program in 1992, it has cumulatively created over 2.4 million jobs for the United States, with an investment amount exceeding $120 billion.
Precisely for this reason, while other visa categories are being heavily targeted and strictly scrutinized by the Trump administration, the U.S. EB-5 immigrant investor visa has become one of the most reliable pathways to obtaining a U.S. Green Card and is, to date, an immigration category that has not been disparaged by the administration. As is well known, the EB-5 visa is an immigration category that creates jobs for the United States rather than taking away American jobs.

With the EB-5 program reform and an impending significant price increase to $1.8 million, investing quickly in projects with approved I-526 exemplars not only minimizes the risk of U.S. Green Card approval but also offers the relative advantage of entering a fast-track approval channel. Currently, Worldway's three high-quality, pre-approved projects are sparking a frenzy of demand in the market. For more details on U.S. immigration, please inquire at: 400-138-2929.
