On June 26, Worldway Group Beijing hosted a seminar for the Nevada Solar Power Project in the United States. As part of the series of events for the Worldway Group 2016 Second American Immigration Month, the event invited Mr. Nicolai Hinrichsen, a lawyer from the renowned Miller Mayer law firm, along with senior project executives, to share the current landscape of the U.S. EB-5 Investment Immigration program and provide a detailed analysis of the advantages of the Nevada Solar Power Project. Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of Worldway Group’s promotion of U.S. investment immigration and the second annual American Immigration Month, the event attracted a large number of investors.

Law Firm Partner

Miller Mayer, one of the top three law firms in the U.S. immigration industry, is a long-standing friend and strategic partner of Worldway Immigration Group. During this event, they partnered with Worldway to analyze the legislative trends of the 2016 EB-5 program, offering in-depth analysis and interpretation of the issues of greatest concern to investors, such as the September 30th policy changes and visa retrogression.

Project Presentation

As one of the four flagship projects promoted by Worldway Group during the second American Immigration Month, the Nevada Solar Power Project offers numerous advantages. First, the project provides dual repayment guarantees and has substantial funding. The borrower, NextEra Energy Capital Holdings Inc., is rated as an A- stable enterprise by the three major rating agencies. An A- rating signifies that the company has no record of default or late payments, ensuring project repayment security. The parent company, a large, high-quality entity listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the world’s largest publicly traded wind and solar power company, NextEra Energy Inc. (with a market capitalization of $82.48 billion and a cash flow of $7.659 billion in 2015), has committed to providing a full, unconditional repayment guarantee for the project, with relevant disclosure provided on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission website. Furthermore, the solar energy project is strongly supported by the U.S. government, having applied for the U.S. Treasury Department’s 1603 Energy Program support and already receiving $250 million in government funding.

It is worth noting that the project has been reviewed and approved by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Department of Energy, the California Energy Commission, and the California Public Utilities Commission, and has passed the environmental assessment under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The project commenced in May 2014 and is expected to be completed in September 2016, with a construction period of 30 months. Jobs for investors have already been created, providing sufficient conditions for investors to remove conditions on their I-829 status.
