Dominica, a Caribbean island nation that has garnered significant attention due to its investment immigration program, is in fact an incredibly beautiful island perfect for tourism. Located in the Caribbean Sea, Dominica boasts vast tropical rainforests and unparalleled natural scenery.
Dominica covers an area of 289 square miles, two-thirds of which is covered by tropical rainforest. It offers thrilling adventures and unspoiled natural landscapes. To introduce this charming island nation to the world, directors and producers from around the globe were officially invited to visit and appreciate the island, showcasing their unique perspectives at the 2015 Dominica Film Challenge.
Some filmmakers chose to swim in the sea with horses to fully enjoy the natural scenery, such as American host Alison Teal and photographer Sarah Lee. Sarah Lee described the island as a “real-life Disneyland” or a “real-life fantasy island”. She often wore a bikini while playing on the beach, visiting waterfalls, or swimming with horses. The beautiful scenery and terrain here have provided artists with much inspiration, while various sports activities and the friendly smiles of the locals have attracted many tourists. Divers and hikers alike love Dominica, which features 1200 species of plants, secluded beaches, comfortable hot springs, and spectacular waterfalls, making it truly worthy of the name “Nature Island”.
