Friends immigrating to Singapore are informed that to ensure more cats and dogs can donate blood when urgently needed, the Happy Mountain Veterinary Group, which has nine veterinary clinics in Singapore, will launch a cat and dog blood donation registration program at the Pet Education Expo on March26.
It is reported that owners who wish to have their cats and dogs donate blood can register their pets in the system database. Once there is a need, the veterinary clinic will notify the owners to bring their cats and dogs to donate blood. For each donation, the owner can receive a "thank you fee" of 100 Singapore dollars (approximately 476.82 Chinese yuan).
However, not all cats and dogs are suitable for blood donation. Only dogs weighing over 20 kilograms and cats weighing over five kilograms can register, and their health status will also be taken into consideration. The cat and dog blood donation registration program will be open to the public starting from April 1 to register suitable pets for blood donation.
