Worldway Group expert analysis: The rate of Chinese investment in Spanish real estate has grown by nearly 39.2% in just one year, making Spain the second-largest real estate investment market for Chinese in Europe, second only to the United Kingdom. Beyond its immense investment value, Spain is also one of the countries with the most festivals in the world. Today, we will introduce you to this charming and vibrant city of festivals.
January: Three Kings' Day
January 6th is Spain's traditional festival—the Epiphany. Originally commemorating the Three Wise Men who brought gifts such as gold and spices to visit the Holy Infant in the manger, it has now evolved into a day similar to Children's Day.
February: Carnival
According to Christian tradition, devout believers must fast for forty days before Easter each year. In the week leading up to this, people wear masks and dress up as clowns, giants, monsters, or mythological figures, taking to the streets to celebrate with abandon.
March: Valencia Fallas
This is one of the most spectacular festivals in Spain. The Fallas originated from a Mediterranean superstition; to drive away spirits from their homes, people would burn old furniture or other items on St. John's Day. Over the years, this superstitious culture has transformed into a famous tourist event in Valencia.
May: Cordoba Patios Festival
Every May is the Cordoba Patios Festival. During the festival, every family uses their imagination to decorate their courtyards with flowers, hoping to impress tourists and judges to win awards.
June: St. John's Eve
Every year on June 23rd, Spain celebrates the arrival of summer with the "Night of St. John." During the festival, people set off firecrackers and fireworks in streets and squares, and light bonfires, jumping over them to purify their souls.
July: Running of the Bulls
Held annually from July 6th to July 14th. During these days, six fierce bulls chase hundreds of brave men through the city along the "Running of the Bulls" route, heading straight to the bullring, creating an extremely thrilling scene.
August: La Tomatina
Held on the last Wednesday of August each year, it is the most famous festival worldwide. On this day, everyone throws tomatoes at each other in a "tomato battle," leaving the whole city covered in tomatoes.
September: La Mercè Festival in Barcelona
The week surrounding September 24th each year is the La Mercè Festival, the festival of Barcelona's patron saint. With human towers (castells), fireworks, and various other celebrations, it is incredibly lively. The La Mercè Festival has developed into the grandest and most vibrant festival in Barcelona.
October: Spain's National Day
October 12th is Spain's National Day. On this day, a national military parade is held in the capital, Madrid.
In addition to universal holidays like New Year's Day and Christmas, Spain has many other festivals, large and small. Now, by investing 500,000 Euros in Spanish real estate, you can quickly obtain a Spanish residence permit, enjoy an international lifestyle, and experience the charm of this city of festivals together. In July 2015, Spain issued a new immigration policy, extending the validity of residence renewals and removing strict residency requirements. After the main applicant immigrates, their parents, parents-in-law, minor children, and adult disabled or unmarried economically dependent children can all obtain status simultaneously, truly realizing the benefit of one person buying a property for three generations.
As 2016 marks the 10th anniversary of Worldway Group's U.S. investment immigration services, to give back to our investors, Worldway Group is offering thousands of 10,000-yuan service fee vouchers.
