Bissau to Host the China and CPLP Entrepreneurs Conference

On January 16, Guinea-Bissau established the preparatory committee for the China and CPLP Entrepreneurs Conference. Investors immigrating to Bissau learned that the conference will be held on April 9-10 in the capital of Guinea-Bissau, Bissau. The purpose of the conference is to gather entrepreneurs from China, Macau, and member countries of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) to jointly discuss inter-business cooperation and establish business contacts.

The Guinea-Bissau government hopes that through the business opportunities platform of the China-Portuguese Forum member countries, it will be able to open more investment markets for Guinea-Bissau, and draw the attention of participants to Guinea-Bissau's dual identity as a member of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to deeply develop bilateral and multilateral business opportunities.

 

The secretariat of the preparatory committee stated that this conference is the first business meeting of Portuguese-speaking countries hosted by Guinea-Bissau since the establishment of the China-Portuguese Forum. Entrepreneurs attending this conference will come from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, China, Guinea-Bissau, Macau, Mozambique, Portugal, and Timor-Leste.
