Immigrating to the United States friends should be aware that in today's society, where smartphones are ubiquitous, 15% to 18% of consumers in the U.S. still use feature phones. Analyst Ben Bajarin states that there are two main reasons why these consumers use non-smartphones. In addition to users expressing a lack of interest in smartphones, others believe that smartphones are too expensive and are unwilling to purchase them.
Half of those who are not interested in smartphones are over 60 years old, with a higher proportion being female. Most of them use LG or Samsung phones from three to four years ago, and they have no plans to replace their phones in the next two to three years. Based on the survey findings, those who do not use smartphones tend to prefer feature phones released by Android manufacturers.
Interestingly, these consumers who do not use smartphones generally do not use tablets either, and their PCs are models from five or six years ago. 60% of users stated that they will not purchase a new PC this year. Users who do plan to replace their PC have a budget of under 400 USD.
