Friends immigrating to the UK will soon welcome Android Pay launched by Google in late March. Android Pay and Apple Pay have similar payment processes. After linking their bank cards to their mobile phones, users can make quick payments using NFC-based payment methods, requiring only a fingerprint to complete the transaction. In the next two years, mobile payments are expected to grow by at least 40%, and Google is naturally unwilling to miss out on this emerging market. The war for mobile payments has just begun.
According to data from Transport for London, over 35,000 people in London use mobile devices for payments every day. Before the launch of Apple Pay, this number was even less than 5,000, highlighting the immense appeal of mobile payments to smartphone users.
