The most prominent highlight in this year's European economic recovery is Spain, whose economic growth is set to lead the entire European economy, becoming the second fastest-growing economy in the Eurozone. People who have immigrated to Spain have felt the impact of measures such as falling oil prices and tax cuts, which have stimulated consumption in Spain this year. According to data released by the National Statistics Institute of Spain, November retail sales in Spain grew by 3.3% year-on-year, achieving 16 months of consecutive growth. The number of employees in the retail sector in November reached the highest level since the 2008 crisis. As the fourth-largest economy in the Eurozone, Spain's economic growth in the third quarter reached 0.8% . Italy, the third-largest economy in the Eurozone, performed well, with its third-quarter economic growth increasing by 0.2% year-on-year. In November, business confidence and consumer confidence saw a slight correction but remained close to the year's highs, at 105.8 and 117.6 respectively, which were higher than industry forecasts.
