In recent years, Dominica has become familiar to Chinese investors due to its highly cost-effective immigration program. As one of the Caribbean's premier tourist destinations, known as the "Nature Island of the Caribbean," Dominica boasts stunning natural beauty, including azure seas, blue skies, tropical rainforests, and rolling mountains, and has consistently been ranked as one of the 25 travel destinations. Furthermore, Dominica is a visa-free country for Chinese citizens, providing great convenience for both travel and immigration to Dominica. According to Dominican media reports, the Dominica-China Friendship Bridge in the capital, Roseau, has reopened to traffic.

The bridge was officially put into use in 2012 and was built with aid from the Chinese government. The reopening of this bridge will significantly alleviate traffic congestion in the capital, Roseau.
