Immigration lawyer Richard Kurland has received information from immigration officials indicating that the immigration department has nearly processed and cleared the old Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applications, which will result in a significant increase in the quota for "Express Entry" next year compared to this year. Therefore, it is expected that the invitation scores will inevitably decrease next year.
Richard Kurland predicts that the "Express Entry" score will drop to around 420 points, allowing those applicants who have been waiting for an invitation this year to finally have a chance, especially benefiting Chinese students.
Nancy Chan emphasized that the "Express Entry" system is very popular among international students and those currently holding post-graduation work permits. As of November 2, 14.4% of the applicants who have been invited and submitted permanent residency applications hold post-graduation work permits, indicating this trend.
