According to a report by Canada World Journal, internal data from the Canadian Federal Immigration Department shows that since the implementation of the Express Entry immigration processing system in January of this year, nearly 20,000 immigration invitations have been issued by mid-August; there are approximately 46,740 candidates waiting in the "Talent Pool" for selection, with over 40% coming from India, while Chinese immigration applicants account for only 6.7%.
After the launch of the Express Entry system, a ranking mechanism is employed, filtering candidates based on the scores they receive from the "Talent Pool" from high to low. Data shows that among applicants in the "high score range," only 23 individuals scored above 1000 points, 25 scored in the 900-point range, and 28 scored in the 800-point range. The majority are distributed in the 400-point range, with 59 individuals scoring between 499 and 460 points, 2,346 scoring between 459 and 440 points, 3,846 scoring between 439 and 420 points, and 4,811 scoring between 419 and 400 points.
Dividing by the candidates' countries of origin, applicants from India make up the largest proportion in the "Talent Pool," at 43.7%, followed by the Philippines at approximately 7.3%, while Chinese citizens account for only 6.7%. Furthermore, according to another earlier report from the Immigration Department, the approval rate for Chinese citizens through the Express Entry system is also low, with only 531 individuals approved in the first half of this year, accounting for 4.1% of the total for this category of immigration, lower than India (2,687), the Philippines (2,514), the United Kingdom (951), and Ireland (682).
Worldway Immigration Commentary: The new scoring system used by the "Express Entry" has a total score of 1200 points, with various scoring factors being complex. Overall, it mainly benefits those with job offers and those who have been nominated by provinces. Additionally, the language proficiency barrier has deterred some Chinese applicants. Friends who wish to immigrate to Canada can consider the Manitoba Investment Immigration Program, which has low entry asset requirements, a small investment amount, and a fast processing speed, making it a golden pathway to immigrate to Canada.
