In February this year, Alibaba invested HK$1 billion to establish the 'Hong Kong Young Entrepreneur Foundation' to support young people in Hong Kong in starting their own businesses and to encourage them to take the first brave step toward entrepreneurship. It is clear that there are valid reasons why so many people choose to settle and immigrate to Hong Kong.

According to the World Competitiveness Yearbook, Hong Kong has ranked first globally in technological infrastructure for five consecutive years. Hong Kong's globalized economy, rule of law, and high-quality university education have created an environment with great potential for Internet development. At the recent opening of the inaugural Hong Kong International Maker Festival, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Leung Chun-ying stated in his address that Hong Kong possesses comprehensive information and communications technology infrastructure and has great potential for developing the Internet industry.
Leung Chun-ying encouraged Hong Kong's information and communications enterprises to learn more about national policies, actively participate in the mainland market, and seize the opportunities brought by the development of the mainland's Internet economy.
He stated that the China Internet Development Foundation and the Hong Kong Qi Xin Foundation officially signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation at the opening ceremony of the first Hong Kong International Maker Festival. This will provide Hong Kong youth with 'Internet+' related study tours and internship opportunities, which will not only help them gain a deeper understanding of major national policies but also facilitate their entrepreneurship and career development, while preparing them to act as 'super-connectors' in the future development of the Internet economy.
Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, Zhuang Rongwen, pointed out in his address that the hosting of the Hong Kong International Maker Festival is not only an important achievement in cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong in the Internet field but also an important international platform for exchanging innovation and entrepreneurship experience. He believes that the Hong Kong International Maker Festival will play an important role in building Hong Kong's innovation ecosystem, forming new economic growth points for Hong Kong, and promoting its prosperity and development.
