Vanuatu Immigration focus Vanuatu Immigration Guide: Vanuatu, a remote island nation in the South Pacific. The Republic of Vanuatu (the Republic of Vanuatu) is located in the western South Pacific, among the South Pacific islands between Hawaii and Australia. It belongs to the Melanesia subregion and consists of 83 islands (68 of which are inhabited). Nature has been generous to Vanuatu, providing not only fertile land but also diverse tourism resources. The capital, port vila, is located on Efate island and serves as the country's political and cultural center. Mount Yasur on Tanna Island in the south is known as the world's "most accessible volcano," and people often consider witnessing these "fireworks set off by God" a once-in-a-lifetime privilege. The volcano scenes in Jackie Chan's movie "Chinese Zodiac" were filmed here. In the capital, port vila, there is the Vanuatu Underwater Post Office, located 3 meters below sea level; it is the only underwater post office in the world. The thrilling activity of bungee jumping also originated in Vanuatu, with a bungee jumping festival held annually on Pentecost Island. Luganville, the capital of Santo in the north, is a world-renowned diving destination. The local people are hospitable, friendly, and kind, making it an excellent place for diving vacations and leisure. Vanuatu has been twice named the happiest country in the world; it is also recommended as one of the top ten must-visit travel destinations by the world-famous English travel magazine Lonely Planet.

Preparation Before Departure
Visa: Vanuatu offers visa-free entry to citizens holding Chinese passports. However, as there are no direct flights from China to Vanuatu, you will need an Australian transit visa. We obtained a one-year multiple-entry Australian visa through an agency found on Taobao, which cost approximately 1000 yuan per person.
Equipment
Actually, trips to island nations are primarily for vacation, but since we needed to visit the volcano, some preparation was required.
Snorkeling: You can bring your own gear or rent it locally. Since the equipment is inexpensive, water shoes are a must, as some coastal areas have reefs; it is recommended to purchase your own.
Volcano: Because there is significant volcanic ash around the volcano, it is recommended to prepare thin hiking pants, a long-sleeved windbreaker, and standard hiking shoes. It is best to bring a mask or similar face protection, as the volcano emits a strong odor similar to nitric acid when it erupts. Additionally, please remember to bring a flashlight, as it will be dark when descending the mountain, and it will come in handy.
Beach and Jungle: Sunscreen and sunglasses are essential. When in the rainforest, it is good to bring a simple raincoat and some necessary insect repellent.
Also, I think it is very necessary to bring a power strip, as we have quite a few electronic devices that all need charging.
Dining
All booked resorts have excellent restaurants. Furthermore, Vanuatu's waters are extremely clean and free of pollution, making the various seafood products in the area excellent, high-quality ingredients. I would especially like to introduce the beef from Santo Island, Vanuatu. The climate and fertile soil there are very suitable for cattle farming. An authoritative Australian beef certification agency has ranked Vanuatu's beef as the fifth best in the world; it is natural, pollution-free, tender, lean, and of excellent quality. Additionally, being in the tropics, there are plenty of fresh fruits for you to taste.
