Immigrating to the U.S. focuses on U.S. Immigration Economy: Data released by the U.S. Department of Commerce indicates that, after seasonal adjustment, retail sales in the U.S. increased by 0.1%, lower than the expected 0.3%; year-on-year growth was 1.7%, which is the second lowest growth since the international financial crisis. Retail sales of automobiles, electronics, food and beverages, gasoline, and daily necessities all experienced declines.

Data shows that excluding the more volatile automobile and parts sector, retail sales in the U.S. increased by 0.2% in October compared to the previous month, and year-on-year growth was 0.5%. Analysts believe that the upcoming holiday shopping season, expectations for Federal Reserve interest rate hikes, and stock market volatility have dampened the shopping appetite of U.S. consumers.
