Spain Immigration Living: Have you ever seen a house that rotates with the sun like a sunflower? According to a report by the British newspaper the Daily Mail on November 11, Europe's first "sunflower" house, which rotates 360 degrees with the sun, will be built in the Spanish tourist city of Marbella. It will rotate every 15 minutes to maximize solar energy utilization.

House designer Jose Carlos Moya had this creative idea two years ago, and now the Moya team is ready to move into commercial production. In fact, Moya is not the first person to propose this idea; as early as 1984, German architect Rolf Disch had already built the first solar house capable of rotating with the sun. However, Moya stated that the difference with this new type of solar house is that it is equipped with the latest technology, allowing it to automatically adjust the rotation angle based on indoor temperatures, while the rotation speed is so slow that it is imperceptible from inside the house.
This new type of solar house is mainly intended for holiday and leisure use, and such high-tech solar villas come with a hefty price tag: a 250-square-meter villa costs 540,000 pounds (approximately RMB 5.2 million), and to ensure the house is filled with sunlight, floor-to-ceiling windows are essential, which cost up to 2,000 pounds per square meter. However, the villa designer stated that this clean-energy home can save homeowners 70% in daily expenses and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 68%.
In the cold regions of Northern Europe, people love warm, sun-drenched homes. Due to its year-round sunny weather, Marbella is favored by Northern European tourists, especially those from the UK. Houses that allow residents to bathe in sunlight every day are naturally very popular; the Moya team has already secured over 10 orders, with construction planned to begin next year.
